Tim sings Under My Thumb by The Rolling Stones
Tonight on Idol Tim sang Under My Thumb to add to Rolling Stones night. Here was the overall feeling from the judges:
Randy-felt that he just didn’t get it, it was just weird for him
Ellen- started by booing herself first and then said she felt like she was at a resort drinking a pina colda. She got it and there was nothing wrong with it but it just didn’t wow her.
Kara totally got what they were saying but on the other side she had to commend him for doing something totally different with the song.
Simon applauded him for doing something different as well. Having said that, it didn’t work. It just doesn’t work doing that song in that version.

Tim Urban sings “Come on Get Higher”
After being torn apart last week by the judges last week Tim Urban still came out with confidence and sang “Come On Get Higher” by Matthew Nathanson. Randy ‘didn’t really get it’ and felt it was very karaoke with lots of pitch problems. Ellen warned the audience that they were going to boo her as well. She didn’t feel there was much stage presence but yet he’s very adorable and thinks he should go into acting. Kara liked the song chioce and sees him more in this lane but didn’t feel like he made it his own. Simon disagreed with the other 3 judges and said this was a ‘marked improvment’ tonight and was impressed with his performance, his attitude and work ethic.
